Fandom First Friday is a monthly event held by the Organization for Transformative Works on the first Friday of every month. The event highlights different fandoms and fan activities through the OTW's Tumblr account. Originally, AO3 invite codes were given out to the account's followers as part of the event.
The OTW’s First Friday campaign highlights a different part of fandom each month. Whether it’s a specific fandom like Star Trek, Sailor Moon, or World of Warcraft, or a type of fanwork like cosplay, vidding, or knitting, we’ll spend the whole day celebrating by posting links, quotes, photos and fun to know facts.[1]
