The Defenders is an Netflix web television series based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. The Netflix series Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist preceded the release of The Defenders, introducing the main characters before they crossed over in this mini series.
