In Dad Max fanworks, Max's caring, paternal traits are emphasized. This trope and its usage began in 2015 after the release of the fourth Mad Max movie, Mad Max: Fury Road.
These fanfics and pieces of fanart usually have Max caring for child versions of Nux and/or Slit; or Capable, Angharad, Cheedo, Toast, and Dag. If the fanwork features Furiosa/Max, Furiosa is the parent of the other group of children.
