Ciri is a main character in The Witcher fandom.

Canon

Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon (commonly known as Ciri) is the daughter of Pavetta and Emhyr var Emreis (who was using the alias "Duny" at the time) as well as Queen Calanthe of Cintra's granddaughter.

Geralt of Rivia helped lift Duny's curse, allowing him to marry Pavetta. When asked what reward the witcher would like, Geralt proclaimed the Law of Surprise. It was immediately revealed that Pavetta was pregnant with Ciri, making Ciri Geralt's child of surprise.[1]

Book Series

In the book series, Geralt claims the Law of Surprise in order to make the future child a witcher, which Ciri is aware of growing up, as she is raised first by her parents and then in Cintra by grand-mother Calanthe after her mother's death. Calanthe seeks to shield Ciri from her destiny with Geralt.

Geralt and Ciri meet earlier than in the Netflix adaptation.

In the books, Ciri has relationships with both men and a woman, Mistle, leading to some debate about her sexuality.[2][3][4]

Netflix Series

Geralt is initially shown refusing to take responsibility for Ciri, although he protects her after the fall of Cintra to the Nilfgaardian Empire. Calanthe finally tells Ciri of her link to Geralt and sends her to find him.

On her way, Ciri wanders the countryside, meets an elf named Dara, encounters dryads, and is chased by a doppler impersonating Mousesack. Ciri finally finds Geralt in the last episode of the first season.

Fandom

Shipping

The fandom takes Ciri's gen relationships with her adopted parents (Ciri & Geralt & Yennefer) very seriously, often more seriously than her shipping relationships.

But shipping also exists, of course.
