No Wolves Allowed is a long crossover fanfic series between the vampires Dracula and his son Alucard, from the Castlevania fandom, and the Wolf School of witchers, especially Geralt of Rivia and his adoptive/martial brother Eskel. Dracula and Alucard's storyline and characterization is specifically based on the Lords of Shadow video game series, and the characterization of Geralt, in particular, and his adoptive daughter Cirilla's age and occupation are based on The Witcher 1 video game.

As of 2023, the series is marked complete with 24 works totaling 1,255,283 words.

Summary

The two parts with the most hits and kudos are the following:

  • Part 2 No Wolves Allowed, which sets up the crossover world. (Part 1 is a short prequel with backstory for Dracula and Alucard.) The working title was "Vamporno", from the beginning authors' notes.
  • Part 14 Where Sleeping Wolves Lie, which introduces Alucard's life in Castlevania City including his employees, the OCs John and Matt, and focuses on hurt/comfort for Geralt and developing relationships for Eskel.

About two-thirds of the stories are rated Explicit, with about one-third rated Mature according to the AO3 rating system.

Plot Summary

By accident, Ciri and Geralt portal into Dracula's castle. Ciri is unconscious for most of the time, but Geralt encounters and tries to seduce Alucard, then gets drawn into sex - and a deeper connection - with both Alucard and Dracula. Over the next several parts of the story, Alucard/Dracula/Geralt become closer, Geralt introduces his lovers to the rest of his Wolf witcher family, and Eskel begins to connect with the vampires. Part 11 Fun is a Matter of Perspective (88k) and Part 14 Where Sleeping Wolves Lie (477k) are lengthy hurt/comfort fics for Eskel and Geralt, and by the end of Part 14, Dracula relocates his sentient castle to surround Kaer Morhen (home of the Wolf School of witchers) and begins sexual intimacy with Eskel. The next few parts until Part 21 focus on Eskel's feelings towards Dracula, Geralt's painful memories from his torture in Part 14, Eskel and Geralt's adventures and brotherly feelings for each other, and consequences from Dracula moving his castle into the witcher world: some political and some personal, especially the introduction and growing friendship between various demons and Vesemir. Parts 21-24 focus on Eskel's relationship with both Alucard and Dracula, especially Eskel's new abilities and emotional/physical needs after an unplanned bond with Alucard, and his sexual relationship with Dracula. The last part starts with Eskel suffering in many ways, physically and emotionally, but eventually develops open communication and more fulfilling relationships between all four primary characters.

Characters and Setting

Settings include a sentient castle that Dracula (semi-)controls, Castlevania City (a modern European-esque city where Alucard lives most of the time), and the world of The Witcher games including Kaer Morhen keep and the Skellige Isles.

Shapeshifting by some of the main characters is a prominent - and amusing! - element in several installations.

Two notable (human) OCs are Alucard's closest employees, his assistant John and his head of security Matt. They are introduced in part 14 and featured in the last parts 22-24, providing outside POVs to the vampires' magic, other magical creatures, and witcher abilities. Even though the vampires and witchers are the ones in the modern world, within the fic the human OCs feel like "fish out of water".

Fan Reactions/Reviews

From comments on the last chapter of part 2, No Wolves Allowed:

I was genuinely so sad when this ended! But you did such an amazing job with this story, and I loved the next one (I read the other one today and finished this on yesterday just [h]adn't written the review yet). I love this series so so much and am really looking forward to the entire installment (after the next one since I already read it. XD)! ❤️

From comments on the last chapter of part 24, Obligate Carnivores in Aggravated Conditions:

Oohh, thank you so much for this amazing series. It was a blast and an enjoyment and has cheered me up for many years. I never thought I would ever get so invested into these two different fandoms and enjoy the hell of it's crossover and it's characters so much, but here we are! Crazy fact: I was neither familiar with the Witcher Fandom nor the Castlevania Fandom when I started this. I stumbled upon No Wolves Allowed due to your [writings in another fandom] and have since become a massive fan of both, thanks to you :D
