Wednesday is the eldest daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams, who has recently began to exhibit psychic powers. She is sent to Nevermore Academy after being expelled from her previous school.
Fandom
As Wednesday became a trending topic on Tiktok, particularly with fans recreating her dance routine, there was discourse surrounding the fear that Wednesday would become "Eddie Munsonified"[1][2] - which generally refers to when a character who belongs to an alt subculture (goths, punks, metalheads, ect) becomes popular and leads fans to adopt their style, either as cosplay for fandom activities or in their everyday life, as well as having queer and neurovariant headcanons for them. To some this is considered cringe, thought that notion is not without backlash.[3][4] The discourse died down as the creation of fanworks continued regardless.
