- I second that, Jessency. I'm glad you're here. --Mrs. Potato Head 13:26, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Welcome back, Jessency. :) --MPH (talk) 23:52, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
Thanks and question?
Glad I am able to contribute something. I should have asked before I did something. So am asking now. My skills are very rudimentary but thought I knew how to do something but it did not work out. I had a scan of the cover of the first issue of Knightly news but jpeg was too big. So I made a pdf file and then uploaded it. Cannot get it to display. Have scanned wiki manuals online but have been unable to locate a fix. What have I missed?
- Jessency, let me ask around and get some answers for you. --MPH (talk) 11:37, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
Updating stubs
I have the first 8 issues of Vampire quarterly so will be updating that page. But have more questions. Covers are copies of old movie posters plus a copy of a portrait of Mary Shelly. Does copyright even apply to any image i would upload into the page? Also many reviews of vampire and monster movies. Do you put in a link to IMDB for the movie or not?
- Low resolution copies of the zine covers are covered under fair use, so you can upload the cover to Fanlore. If the movie has a page on Fanlore, link to that page. If not, then you can add (but are not required to add) a link to the IMDB page.--MeeDee (talk) 17:29, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
Adding quotations
I am trying to add reviews from Pillow talk to various zines. But it does not come out right. What am I doing wrong?
- Since "Pillow Talk" has more than one meaning on Fanlore, it needs to be cited as Pillow Talk. BTW, thank you for adding these reviews! That's a very hard-to-come-by letterzine, and I'm glad you're adding info about and from it, Jessency. :) --MPH (talk) 18:29, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
Professional circuit stories
I have a review for one of the circuit stories which has now been archived in the Professional circuit archive. So added some info to the stub. Jane of Australia wrote it so it has some interest for B/D/ fans at least. Is it practice to add the link to the archive?
Yes, it is good to add the link to the story. Thank you for making a page for it. --MPH (talk) 18:58, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
Bernay's cafe
The updating for this title is going really slow. But i have most of the title and will get it done eventually!! The reduced type is real pain. Am glad can contribute in some way.
- I've been following your edits all along. Don't worry at all about your speed!! You're doing great work, Jessency. I saw that one of the issues for 1986 had a con report for MediaWest. If you are able, perhaps you can scan it and send it to me; I'll add the con report (name redacted) to the MediaWest page. I'll also try to add some wikilinks to the page when you're done. That way I won't get in your way. --MPH (talk) 19:37, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
Scans
Your zine cover scans are beautiful! --MPH (talk) 12:42, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
Fanlore Gardener
Hi Jessency! I’m reaching out as a member of the Fanlore Committee. Thank you for all your work on Fanlore - it's always great to see your contributions. Recently, we've had some issues with our emails on Fanlore, and we wanted to make sure you'd received an email we sent a few months ago inviting you to become a Fanlore Gardener. If you're not interested, that's totally okay - but since we hadn't heard from you, we wanted to follow up, in case our email (or your reply!) got caught up in our system. If you are interested, we'd love to set up a time to chat more about what Gardening involves. Please contact us here: http://www.transformativeworks.org/contact_us/. (To reach Fanlore Staff, select "Fanlore" from the dropdown menu, and set "Fanlore Policies" as your subject.) - Fandomgeographies (talk) 19:03, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

What can't be added to wiki?
I have several issues of a newsletter called Total Ironside. As far as I can tell it is not affiliated with any particular fan club or to the actor. I'll admit I've only skimmed the first few issues. Are newsletters devoted to a certain individual within scope of the fanlore wiki? I have the majority of issues from 1 to 18.
- If the publication is fan-created, absolutely. Fanlore has lots of newsletters for individuals on it already. See https://fanlore.org/wiki/Category:Star_Trek_Actor-centric_Zines for a list of some actor-centric examples. --MPH (talk) 12:52, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
