I spent a scary amount of time reading fanfiction starting in sixth grade and occasionally wrote my own drivel, but didn't take the step of talking to other fans about I was reading/viewing online until I came across Amireal's LiveJournal. Since then I've been a fanfiction reader, occasional discussion participant and episode reviewer and even more occasional writer in the Stargate: Atlantis fandom.

I am An Kayoh and Eve Griffin on FanFiction.net, an_kayoh on LiveJournal, Maurimoii in...places (usually those more closely tied to my real life), and kiratael just about everywhere else.

My fannish interests started when I was four and would watch Star Trek: The Next Generation from the down after bedtime. Fannish activities were resumed when I was twelve and discovered Anime, rapidly digesting such series as Dragonball Z, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo!, and others. I didn't make a return to live-action TV until the middle of high school, when my father introduced me to CSI and ER.

I am an avid Japanese manga reader, being a fan of Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, One Piece, anything by CLAMP, Famous Detective Conan (Case Closed in the United States), and Here is Greenwood.

I prefer to read science-fiction and fantasy, especially the works of Tamora Pierce, Eric Flint, David Weber, Mercedes Lackey, Garth Nix, Terry Pratchett, Orson Scott Card, and Susan Cooper.

My fanfiction writing is crazy sporadic and I believe I once mentioned that I have written over a hundred short pieces, but after going through them, found that only one was fit to 'publish,' so to speak. Even then, I had to extract an original character first. That said, I have written a few pieces for Stargate: Atlantis and Naruto.

In Real Life, I am an American college student studying Japanese and the bits of science that interest me. I like cats and if you met me in person, you'd know pretty quickly how important that fact is.
