The TeXas Files was an X-Files archive created by Loch Ness.
"The TeXas Files showcases X Files fanfic with a Texas flavor, both stories written by authors in Texas or stories with their events set in Texas. More than a dozen authors have contributed more than 80 stories to the archive. The page has gotten off to flying start - my ISP tells me it's getting an average of more than 130 hits a day, which exceeds my expectations by an order of magnitude. The response has been really gratifying, and I want to express my appreciation to the authors who contributed work to make it successful and to the readers who have stopped by to see it and download stories. "I wanted to do this for two reasons: First, because I'm in Texas and was curious who else from the state was writing fanfic, and second, because I enjoy reading fictional depictions of places where I've lived or spent some time. The only guiding principle I set was that stories should have some Texas angle - either they should be written by folks in Texas or should be set in Texas. To me, that's really the page's greatest strength because it showcases such a wide variety of creativity and talent. There are traditional X-Files, shipper pieces and erotica, holiday vignettes, and everything in between. There's really something for everyone."[1]
