The Buffy Fiction Archive or BFA is a large automated (self-posting) archive for all Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel fanfiction and filks. It was founded by shrift in January 2002; she remains the archivist. It takes all genres of fanfiction; the FAQ describes the content guidelines:
You can post any complete Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel: the Series fan fiction. This is a non-exclusionary archive, which means it accepts any type of fan fiction, i.e. gen, het, slash, crossovers, alternate universes, filk-- the whole shebang.
The only things this archive does not accept are: a) stories involving real people, otherwise known as RPS or actorfic, or b) stories with explicit depictions of underage sex.[1]
It is searchable by character, pairing, genre and warning. As of October 2011, there are around 3500 works. The archive is still being updated.
Some prominent authors include Alex Dollard, Alex Wert, Annakovsky, Ares, cheebs, Chrislee, dutchbuffy2305, Elena B, FayJay, glossolalia, James Walkswithwind, Jennifer-Oksana, Kate Bolin, Mad Poetess, Marcus L. Rowland, Minim Calibre, nwhepcat, Pixie Child, Strange Bint, The Brat Queen, templemarker, Tha Wrecka, and Two Ladies of Quality.
Reviews
The archive is recommended by Indri:
FanFiction.Net may be the be-all and end-all of unmoderated fanfic archives, but for BtVS/Angel fiction it's long been superceded by Shriftweb.Org which has an excellent search engine. It's the best place to look for new talent.[2] It's also recommended at All About Spike, which describes the BFA as An automated archive with a wide variety of fic and a great search engine. [3]
Huge archive of Buffy: the Vampire Slayer and Angel: the Series fanfiction. All genres, all pairings, all ratings. Browse by title, author, category, pairing, character, or search engine. Archive is automated, so updates sporadically.[4]– at Fanfiction Quicklinks by Moonbeam
