Talk:Young Adult
Should Young Adult be considered a category, since it... is a category of literature, and the number of applicable fandoms would be too unwieldy to list in the bulleted list on this page? It might be easier to organize and keep up with the growing number of YA fandoms if it were treated as a category rather than manually updating this page's list. Just a thought!
- I agree, a category would be a good way to organize it. The page itself might be better used to talk about the genre and its fans. --Mokuroh (talk) 03:18, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- Makes sense to me. --Greer Watson (talk) 03:36, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. --SecurityBreach (talk) 06:46, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
- Awesome. Once it is made a category, I volunteer to help go through applicable fandoms' pages and add it to their Category sections. :) Ulanbataar (talk) 06:31, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- Done. It's called Category:Young Adult Literature :D --SecurityBreach (talk) 07:49, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

Yah! I love to see a new category. As Category:Young Adult Literature seems to be the first subcategory of Category:Books & Literature that is a subgenre, I was wondering if we should have subgenres listed under * rather than alphabetically? When they're included alphabetically, it can be difficult to spot them amongst all the book subcategories that are also listed alphabetically. This would just mean changing the code on the subcategory page to [[Category:Books & Literature|*Young Adult Literature]]. --Auntags (talk) 20:53, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I can see this makes sense, so, agreed. --SecurityBreach (talk) 21:04, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- And done! Hope I got it right & thank you very much for the hint :D --SecurityBreach (talk) 21:13, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
Remove the list of YA novels and replace with See Category:Young Adult Literature?--aethel (talk) 18:37, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- Given that all the ones listed have articles, that does seem reasonable. --Greer Watson (talk) 18:48, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree. That would make sense. --SecurityBreach (talk) 04:45, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
