Not sure how to incorporate, but we should link to A Christian Perspective on Slash Fiction. Is there other meta on Christianity and Fandom in general?--æþel (talk) 18:55, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Should we mention non-fan Christian reactions to canons like Dungeons and Dragons and Harry Potter?--æþel (talk) 18:57, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Also there are LOCs in some Star Trek zines discussing Star Trek TOS vs. TNG attitudes toward Christianity; it would be interesting if we could link to more meta on that topic.--æþel (talk) 23:05, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

One topic: all the "Christmas on the Enterprise" stories (and there are tons of them!… Spock discovering the true meaning of xmas, the very fact that it's an "unchanged" holiday that the crew celebrates….) from the older TOS zines. --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 02:34, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

PPOV?

Not sure if this is a PPOV issue or more of a general cleanup thing, but currently this page has a quote from Christians feeling very alone in fandom, followed by a section on Christian Hegemony which asserts that Christians are everywhere and get most of the attention in fandom. This *is* the PPOV we try to present in fanlore, I think -- it's not a matter of "which one is true and which is false" b/c I'm sure both of those statements were accurate expressions of people's experiences. But it would really improve the page to put those both in context and discuss how both can be true, in what circumstances. Just leaving it as is gives a strong sense of whiplash and self-contradiction. Anyways I added a cleanup tag for now, not sure if we also want a PPOV tag on the article. -- Quaelegit (talk) 23:31, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
