Planet of the Apes is a French science fiction novel from 1963, later turned into a US movie of the same name in 1968. Several more sequels, reboots, and remakes have been created since, in the form of live-action films, TV series, and animated films.

Canon

The original movie had four sequels: Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971), Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) and Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973).

Then followed a short lived tv series with 14 episodes in 1974 and an animated tv series with 13 episodes in 1975.

In 1981 five tv movies followed.

In 2001 a remake, once again named simply Planet of the Apes was produced.

Beginning in 2011, a reboot series followed: Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), and War for the Planet of the Apes (2017).

Marvel produced a number of comic adaptations as well as original comics set in the Planet of the Apes universe, there are also a number of novelizations both of the sequel and tv movies as well as of the remake and the reboot.
