Modern Solo Adventures is a series of humorous Star Wars manip AU Gif sets created by mamalazzer (also known as mamalaz). They follows the adventures of Ben Solo in a modern AU using same-actor fusion. Occasional "Retro Adventures," using footage from the original trilogy, recount the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Darth Vader before Ben's birth.

Common Tropes
- Ben insists on being called "Kylo Ren" and the "Knights of Ren" are a "boy band". Ben frequently wears the Kylo Ren robes and mask, though it is unclear whether his professed desire for world domination is serious.
- Chewbacca is the family dog (a golden retriever) and the "Falcon" is Han's sports car, which he usually does not let Ben drive.
- Ben adores his mother, but is actively homicidal against his father. That does not stop him from being insanely jealous Han's relationships with Rey and Poe Dameron.
- Ben's hero-worship of Vader frequently leads to humorous extremes, such as being arrested for tagging a building with Vader's name.
- Both Han and Vader are fond of making "dad jokes," to the chagrin of their offspring.
- Vader is extremely overprotective of Luke and Leia, and does not approve of Leia's relationship with Han.

Reactions
After the series gained a following on Tumblr in 2016 following the release of The Force Awakens, it was covered by many pop-culture websites and blogs. A Buzzfeed article about the series summed up their conclusion in its title: "A Tumblr Has Been Imagining Kylo Ren Living At Home With Han And Leia And It's So Perfect".[1] While echoing Buzzfeed's conclusion, PopSugar noted the connection between this and other contemporaneous online-based Kylo fanworks, such as the Emo Kylo Ren Twitter account.[2]
