Recs and Reviews

  • ok, so full disclosure, I was a voice in this, and got an advanced beta-listen BUT THIS THING IS SO AWESOME I COULDN'T CARE LESS. It's one of those podfics that feels very different from the written story - not better or worse, just different. The written story is all in pieces, and when I was reading it it took me awhile to pull all the pieces together and figure out what was going on, but the podfic, with all the different voices, doesn't work like that. With some many voices, the text pulls apart a tiny bit - the pieces are read by different people, so they don't fit together as closely - and at least for me, that was a good thing, because it made it easier to see how everything fit together and track what's going on, and remember that all the bits are from different points of view and that's just really cool and I love it :D[1]
