I vaguely remember putting at least a paragraph of my A-Team self-insertion fantasies to paper. A long, long time ago. I really started in Buffy fandom though, ca. 1999, writing Buffy/Giles and occasionally Giles/Xander. After BtVS ended I stopped writing and got back into it 2006 when John/Rodney took over my brain... I was into Hermione/Snape (Harry Potter fandom) also, but have only written a short piece and begun another. I also ship Mal/Simon (Firefly/Serenity), but never wrote that. I've written one Winters/Nixon (Band of Brothers) fanfic. Oh, and I enjoy Face/Murdock (The A-Team), because my Murdock/me fantasies have made way for more sensible slashy love ;)
There's just so much of almost everything [SGA fandom]. If I feel like reading "everyone thinks John is dead, but it still has a happy end" fic, I can. If I want to read John fucking Rodney against a wall, no problem! There are fics, meta, wallpapers, manips, drawings... I enjoy the show itself, especially the subtext that is still going strong.John/Rodney has so many facets, so much potential, that I still have this sense that there is so much more about them to read or write or discuss.
(And as if all of that wasn't enough there's Hewligan and RPS, in case obsessing over John/Rodney is not enough ;)
