Avengers Assemble is an American animated television series based on the fictional Marvel Comics superhero team known as the Avengers. It was designed to capitalize on the success of the 2012 film, The Avengers, the series premiered on Disney XD on May 26, 2013.
It has no relation to The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes series despite the flashback in episode 8 does have the Avengers featured in their AEMH models and the early reports of it being called the "continuation" of the series. It does, however, share the same universe (Earth-12041) as Ultimate Spider-Man, Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., and Guardians of the Galaxy.
