For those of you who don't know, Lomonaaeren has long been a powerhouse of the Harry Potter fanfiction world since 2012, chances are you have read one of her stories, even if you don't remember it being by her. What makes Lomonaaeren stand out is the sheer quantity of stories they turn out.. as of Feb 2020 she has 599 stories on AO3 and 607 on FFNet And they are all of a great quality!

Here's what how she describes her writing in her bio: 'Most of my stories are Harry/Draco; I also write Snarry, Harry/Snape/Draco threesomes, Harry/Lucius, Ginny/Luna, and a few Harry/Tom Riddle and gen fics. I tend to vary widely in terms of theme and genre; I've written horror, humor, pure romance, fluff, action/adventure stories, mysteries, and others. My stories tend to rely heavily on magic and on the psychology of the main characters.'

On a personal note, her story Changing of the Guard was the first Drarry I have ever read, and I have been hooked ever since.[1]

Definitely a powerhouse. But I also wonder : does she sleep???? Cuz she pumps out chapter after chapter from Multiple stories. So she needs to be keeping multiple plot lines and narratives in line plus do all the world building per story and she keeps making NEW stories??? Like how??? How can she write so much. Plus u don’t think her stories are bland or boring. Pretty much all of them have an interesting premise. So yup agree a fucking powerhouse.[1]

I am so on board for That Glorious Strength. I love seeing fics with Tom Riddle as an ostensibly "good guy" while still being very much Tom Riddle. The other one I really love is Reign of the Serpent[1]

I really enjoyed the Art of Self Fashioning. Her fics are good, I've thumbed through a few of them, but in most cases I'm not fond of the pairings.[1]

Fair enough, but check out the gen fics. Gen fic meaning no romance. Lomonaaeren is an excellent writer. Specifically I am thinking of "The Art of Self-Fashioning".[1]

She wrote that?? Damn. That was a crazy fic.[1]

I was wondering why I had this person in my fanfiction notification emails and then I realised she wrote 'That Glorious Strength'. I need to get around to reading it though... I had followed her stories too which I've undone now.[1]

Ooooomg Lomonaaeren is my favorite fic writer. I’m a big fan of horror movies and games and my favorite fic by her is Forgive Those Who Trespass. I literally had to stop after every chapter to process because it was just so dark and gory and I wanted to burn the images into my mind. Heed the warnings if you read it; it’s so good. Something I’ve noticed about her writing: a lot of her fics have a Harry who is bisexual or gay and doesn’t want to be, or actually has a struggle with being that way. I think that it’s such an important thing to read because most of the stories I’ve read are like YEAH HARRY IS GAY AND OKAY WITH IT. Lomonaaeren explores the other side so well, the soul searching and heartache that can potentially come with that revelation. Such an amazing author.[1]

I'll be honest, I love most of the Lomonaaeren stories, but only while reading them and only if I don't notice the author. Right now when I see that author I almost always associate it with a punch in the gut. I feel like all of the larger works by Lomonaaeren tend to end at the climax of the story. A ton of build-up happens and then doesn't dissipate properly. Not a fun feeling. Amazing writing, but honestly that author's works aren't my cup of tea. I feel like some epilogue or x-years later or just something showing me everyone in the world you just spent 200k+ words flushing out are doing okay after resolving the main plot wouldn't be doing your fans a disservice.[1]

Kairos Amid the Ruins (Orion/Harry) and gems of great price (Marcus/Harry) are oddly the only ones I’ve found from this author with both being quite entertaining. kairos for the time travel and gem for Marcus courting Harry in ridiculous fashion[1]
