Lan Huan (蓝涣), courtesy name Xichen (曦臣) and often abbreviated LXC, is a character in the serialized danmei novel Mo Dao Zu Shi (MDZS) and its audio drama, manhua, donghua, and live-action drama adaptations. He is the brother of Lan Wangji, one half of WangXian, the juggernaut canon ship.
Canon Background
Lan Xichen is the older brother of Lan Wangji, and together they are known as the "Twin Jades" for their beauty and composure. He is the Sect Leader of the Gusu Lan sect, who are based in the Cloud Recesses in an area called Gusu; they are famous for their musical cultivation practices and their Wall of Discipline, a stone wall with 3k+ rules of conduct they live by. The Lan sect is also famous for wearing white headbands to symbolize self-regulation, and they usually wear blue and white robes.
Lan Xichen's title Zewu-Jun (泽芜君) is often translated in English as "Brilliance Overgrowth Lord" or "The Lord of Munificent Waters", indicating a lord bringing a generous overabundance of rainfall/moisture/prosperity to the land. His sword is named Shuoyue (朔月, "new moon") and his xiao (a vertical flute) is named Liebing (裂冰, "fractured ice"). He is famous in all adaptations for his gentle and polite temperament.

In keeping with his gentle temperament in canon, one popular tag for fanworks is Supportive Lán Huàn | Lán Xīchén, but an equally-popular tag is the opposite Dark Lán Huàn | Lán Xīchén for fics where at least LXC (if not also other characters) is dark.
Common Pairings
He is one of the Venerated Triad, with Jin Guangyao and Nie Mingjue. They were heroes of a martial campaign against the Qishan Wen sect (the "Sunshot campaign"), leading to swearing brotherhood after victory in that campaign. The connections between all of them are varied, so Lan Xichen is often paired with one of them (XiYao with Jin Guangyao or NieLan with Nie Mingjue), or both of them.
He is also commonly paired with Jiang Cheng, the brother of Wei Wuxian, the protagonist and the other half of WangXian.
