Kris/Red, known mostly as FirstTrainerShipping and/or レクリ (Rekuri), is a rare ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Kris (Kris) and Red (Red), the female playable character in Pokémon Crystal and the playable character in Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow respectively.
ScarletJewelShipping, which pairs Red and Crystal, is its cross-canon counterpart in the Pokémon Special manga. Most fanworks are for this version of the pairing.

"FirstTrainerShipping" was coined by invisible-chan on 09 August 2008 on Serebii.net.[1] It's a play on both characters being the "first" protagonists in the series for their genders, with Kris being the first female protagonist and Red being the first male one.
