J. J. Abrams is an American filmmaker and composer, best known for his action, drama, and science fiction works. Abrams went to school with Greg Grunberg, and ever after has featured his friend in at least one episode of every television series he creates.
Some fans believe that Abrams does not believe in our earth logic to the extent that this has become a joke/meme both within and outside of fandom. Works he is associated with characteristically display convoluted plotlines that generally do not bear too close examination. A graf about retcon and/or reset button in his works would be appropriate here.[note 1]
