Harry/Sirius is a Harry Potter pairing involving Harry Potter and Sirius Black.
Canon Relationship
Sirius is Harry's godfather, although Harry was not aware of this until his 3rd year at Hogwarts. After reconnecting in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry wanted to leave the Dursleys and move in with Sirius, but Sirius recognized that he could not provide a safe or stable home for a teenage boy. However, as a recognized legal guardian, he was able to sign Harry's permission slips to go to Hogsmeade.
Fanon Relationship
Some fanfics have speculated that Sirius is also his biological father, either because Sirius was sleeping with Lily even after her marriage to James, or because the three of them were all involved in a polyamorous relationship. In "the Potters lived" AUs, Sirius is often treated like a beloved uncle, and is a strong influence on young Harry, whether or no he is romantically involved with either of the parents.
