Barry/Dawn, known mostly as TwinleafShipping and/or ジュンヒカ (Junhika), is a popular ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Barry (Jun) and Dawn (Hikari), the rival to the playable character and the female playable character in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum respectively.

Unlike many other pairings involving a playable character and their rival in the Pokémon games, the pairing is more popular in the Pokémon anime side of the fandom. The majority of fanworks are for both cross-canon counterparts of the pairing, though it does not cover HaughtyShipping, which pairs Pearl and Platinum Berlitz: their cross-canon counterparts in the Pokémon Special manga.

-Shipping Name Origin

FutabaShipping was the first ship name for them, coined sometime before 04 April 2007.[Notes 1] This comes from the name of their shared hometown, known as Futuba in the original Japanese release in late 2006 and later localized into English as Twinleaf in early 2007. "TwinleafShipping" was coined sometime before 29 June 2007[Notes 2] and later usurped FutubaShipping in terms of popularity, especially after Barry's inclusion in the anime. Both names are considered official on the Neverending Romance ship name list.

The anime pairing used to also have a page on Bulbapedia, which can be seen here (in archived form), Archived version. The game pairing also had a small section, Archived version.
