Unrealized Peacekeeper (URPK) is an epic length Farscape story by OneEyetheDRD. This is a canon divergent AU that splits from the TV show canon in episode 1. In Unrealized Peacekeeper, lost Earth astronaut John Crichton is taken in by the Peacekeeper Forces following his escape from the Leviathan Moya with Peacekeeper pilot Aeryn Sun.
From the FF.net summary, "In the fourth season episode "Unrealized Reality", we saw an alternate John Crichton who became a Peacekeeper captain. This is the story of how that might have happened..." Unrealized Peacekeeper was a very popular and widely recced story in the fandom. It pairs John/Gilina and later John/Aeryn.
Unrealized Peacekeeper was posted on the author's Yahoo!Group, Fanfiction.net, Terra Firma and Leviathan, and much later, it was also archived on Ao3. The story is split into three main parts, the author calls them 'books' or 'seasons'. Part 1 contains the Prologue and Episodes 1-8, part 2 contains Episodes 9-14, and part 3 was due to run from Episode 15 until the end of the story, which was estimated at one time at Episode 22. The first part was posted in 2002 and the most recent update, Episode 16, was in 2008.
This is an abandoned story. When archiving their story on Ao3, OneEye included a final chapter entitled The Rest of the Story, which was a basic outline of events which were due to occur in the final part of the series. The summary chapter was also added to the FFN version of the story
Unrealized Peacekeeper has been credited with introducing the fanon term monen, similar to an Earth month, to the Farscape lexicon.
