Evan Rachel Wood is an American actress.
She is known to femslash fans and sapphic fandom for her frequent portrayal of queer characters. She herself is openly bisexual. She stated of her depiction of Jessie and the pioneering same-sex teen romance in Once and Again:
[...] it was something near and dear to my heart and something I was obviously excited to do on the show. And I thought it ended up being beautiful. We had such an amazing reaction to those two characters and their relationship. People started all these amazing websites and I’d get stopped on the street constantly and it really moved young girls going through the same thing. So I was really proud to do it.[1]
She interacted with fans on Twitter prior to deleting her account in 2020. She listed the fansite evanrachelwood.net and Tumblr blog fuckyeahevanrwood in her Twitter profile[2] and gave the blog a shout out in a tweet.[3]
