Drawing Down the Moon

Drawing Down the Moo - Co-authored with Khirsah Series Notes: This is not sweet, fluffy Remus/Sirius. When Khirsah and I tackled the Remus/Sirius dynamic we were pretty much motivated by a unilateral hatred of a neutered Remus and Sirius. Bleh. Yes, they're so sweet. They're so gentle. They don't fuck, they fade to black. And if they do fuck (oh, wait, they don't fuck, they *make love*), they're kind, and considerate, and Sirius tops. What-thefuck-ever. This series has its sweet moments, but it's central themes are very dark. Remus struggles with his lycanthropy, and with sexual abuse. Sirius goes through hell in the process of loving Remus. And when they fuck, they *fuck*. This series also contains portrayals of sexual activity between underaged boys, though no actual sex takes place until they are fifteen. We try to capture the essence of their evolving bodies and sexuality in an honest, open way. If you can't handle that, skip it. DDtM is a work in progress. We produce a chapter every month-month and a half. And *oh*. We have fan art.

RPG Arc

Background: Ministry forces lose the war to Voldemort, forcing the creation of a Resistance, lead secretly by Dumbledore. You can find the RPG, the Double Cross, archived here. This set of stories centers on Sirius in the years before the war, and follows him through Azkaban. He turns out an assassin and information extracter for the Resistance, so you can imagine that it's not a happy path.

War Arc

This arc only has two stories, in several chapters each. It's supposed to be a grand, sweeping tale. Erm. Yeah. But my muses want nothing to do with breaking up Sirius and Harry. So, that rather lands Draco and Remus in the poo. May be the eternal WIP.

Poppy Z. Brite Fanfiction

After reading Lost Souls and Drawing Blood I feel like I've been to Missing Mile. I feel like I have bootleg tapes of Lost Souls? I feel like I know these people, inside and out.

Lost Souls is in a way the most heartbreaking of her books. Steve and Ghost are such hopeless darlings. Ghost is so painfully, obviously in love with Steve. Steve has walls and armor and 'isn't gay, and fuck you for even thinking it'. Yet macho-man Steve lets this boy, his best friend, sit in his lap. He sleeps in Ghost's bed. They kiss. But something just keeps Steve from admitting it. It's agony.

And it begs for fanfiction. Nay, it demands it. Because...you just don't do that to characters. Poppy, give these boys some lovin'! I know you're a sucker for a happy ending! No? Okay, then. We'll just have to do it for you <g>.
