The Demoman is one of the nine playable classes in Team Fortress 2.
Canon
Tavish Finnegan DeGroot, AKA the Demoman, is a demolitions expert from Scotland. As a child, his passion for explosives resulted in the loss of his adoptive parents and of his left eye. His eye socket is now haunted, and his disembodied eye terrorizes the countryside every Halloween. After becoming a mercenary, he formed a close friendship with the Soldier, which was temporarily broken after both of them were manipulated by their superiors.
