Requiem for a Pizza is a two-part absurdist comedy SFM by ItalianNinja, starring characters from Team Fortress 2. Part One ("The Meeting") was posted in September 2016, and Part Two ("Part Two") was posted almost five years later, in June 2021. Both videos have received millions of views as well as high praise from the TF2 community.
Plot
The videos follow a BLU Demoman who, disillusioned with his mercenary work, becomes a pizza deliveryman. He quickly endangers, saves, and befriends a RED Sniper. The two of them team up with a BLU Scout and a RED Spy to recover the pizza after it is taken by genderbent versions of Scout and Sniper. Hijinks ensue.
Reactions
Even over 2 years on, the humour in this is just brilliant. It's the very short, subtle bits that really get me. Demoman's tiny "no" near the end. Spy's seriously disturbed "What the hell...?" to the inexplicable change in scenery. Scout's expression when he says "H'okayyy" to the giant letters perched on the house. The long pause and the quiet "...mate?" when Demoman picks up Sniper. The shot of Sniper just smacking his lips whilst he waits for Demoman to make a decision. Kills me every time.
This has re-invented comedy for me, dare I say you've created Comedy 2™ - there's something new to laugh at every re-watch wowowow. The animation is better than professional when it wants to be and a total shitpost when it needs to be, IT'S SO PERFECT!
Part Two has been credited with introducing some people to the Demoman/Sniper pairing, and it held in high regard by many shippers.
