Cyclonus is a semi-popular and recurring character in the Transformers franchise. He's a Decepticon through-and-through in every canon except in the Transformers Generation One IDW Comics, where he's neither Autobot nor Decepticon.

- Broody Angsty Cyclonus: in-tune with his canon and fanon characterization. Related is that Cyclonus is Bad at Feelings and that he doesn't like them. In fanworks, both fluff and angst are popular topics, though fluff is much more common for his IDW comics cross-canon counterpart than his G1 cartoon counterpart.
- Asexual Cyclonus: him being ace is a popular headcanon, more so than any other sexuality.
- Loyal Cyclonus: especially towards Galvatron and to a lesser extent Scourge. Loyalty kink is common.
- Smart Cyclonus: common fanon/implied canon is that he has "the brains" in both the Cyclonus, Tailgate and Whirl trio and the Cyclonus, Galvatron and Scourge trio.
- The Hardest Eggplant: Created by the Japanese side of the fandom. Cyclonus has an abrasive personality and kind of resembles one. On Pixiv, this has its own tag, 最苦労茄子, meaning "The Hardest Eggplant."
- Cryptid Cyclonus: where he's seen as the Lost Light ship's "personal cryptid" because he is intimidating and boarded without being invited. Often played for laughs, with Cyclonus being oblivious that he's considered one.
- Catholic Cyclonus: inspired somewhat by his canon humanformers appearance in the IDW comics, where he's a very classically dressed woman, among other traits of his personality, some interpret him as being Catholic-coded.
