CLAMP is an all female group of manga artists which started as a doujinshi group in mid eighties, and jumped to publishing professionally in 1989. They have created a number of popular manga series including Cardcaptor Sakura, X/1999, xxxHolic, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. CLAMP often reuses their own characters in new series, so in addition to the usual fandoms for individual series, there is also a fandom for the group as a whole.
