Branch is a fanfiction and meta writer largely active in the anime and manga fandoms. She is prolific in Prince of Tennis and Fullmetal Alchemist, with a scattering of stories and essays in a great many other fandoms.

History

Branch entered public fandom via LiveJournal in late 2003, with FMA and, after about five months, PoT. She branched out from there into many other fandoms, but the vast majority of her writing is in those two. She has occasionally been active in discussion on comms, but for the most part her fandom participation lies in fanfic, and meta posted only in her personal journal(s).

Influential Works

FMA

Circumstances, which featured a good deal of porn and silliness, and After, which was a more plot-based romance, were both part of the early bloom of Roy/Ed stories and helped establish the fan construction of that pairing.

PoT

Mirror Writing, focusing on Hyoutei and Seigaku, was written during the flowering of interest in Hyoutei and in Tezuka/Atobe in particular, in the wake of the first Hyoutei matches being animated. Challenge was written early on in the manga introduction of Rikkai and influenced fan constructions of those characters.
