Bandom Holidays is an annual gift exchange that was created in 2013 to fill the gap left by bandomstuffsit. Participants sign up in October and choose what fanwork type(s) they can give and receive: fanfic, fanart, or podfic.[1] Completed fanworks are then posted in an anonymous collection on AO3 to go live on December 25; creators are revealed a week later.
Eligible Bands
Following the example of Bandom Big Bang, the mods created a list of bands that were eligible for the exchange but did not "define" Bandom: My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Empires, The Academy Is..., Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes, The Used, The All-American Rejects, The Cab, Mindless Self Indulgence, Death Spells, The Hush Sound, The Young Veins, Neon Trees, Black Cards, and The Like.[1] Unlike Bandom Big Bang, this list has remained the same every year.
Participation
Bandom Holidays is a small exchange: 20 works were posted in 2013,[2] 16 in 2014,[3] 15 in 2015,[4] 14 in 2016,[5] and 22 in 2017.[6]
