C-3PO is a character in the Star Wars universe. He is a protocol droid and companion to R2-D2.
Canon
He was built by Anakin Skywalker and was programmed for more than seven million forms of communication. He has appeared in every Star Wars film except for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and Solo: A Star Wars Story and also appeared in the animated series Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.[1]
