World Comes Tumbling is a Merlin/Arthur story by lady_ragnell. The story is a sequel to Melt You Down (~1,200 words)[1] which is set in the same universe but happens two years before World Comes Tumbling. Melt You Down was written for the kinkme_merlin prompt "Arthur holds a gun to Merlin's head"[2] and the story has been translated into Russian by ninaza.[3]
Summary: Arthur Pendragon is working with a group of sorcerers that plan to take his father's company apart, but when a rescue attempt goes wrong and he's forced to go into hiding, he goes to a safehouse run by Merlin, the sorcerer who started his defection in the first place.
Cast of Characters
The story is set in a modern Albion where Uther is evil and runs Pendragon Corp which officially searches for a cure for magic but unofficially incarcerates magic users and experiments on them. Morgana is Arthur's sister (code name "Fay"), Freya is Merlin's sister, Mordred is a kid with telepathic abilities they rescued from Pendragon Corp, Morgause and Gilli are active in the magical underground, Lancelot is a childhood friend of Merlin and married to Gwen, Gwaine is living in Ealdor and Leon is someone working for Pendragon Corp. Some of the people imprisoned are Gaius, Nimueh, Balinor and the Dragon.
