Angel/Willow/Spike is a Buffyverse threesome ship.

Canon

In canon, Willow has limited interactions with both Angel and Spike. She knows Angel as her best friend's boyfriend, and Spike is initially an antagonist of the Scooby Gang and later a grudging ally. Although Angel and Spike are former friends and interact more often in canon, their interactions are often violent.

Fandom

Angel/Willow/Spike was a reasonably popular ship among Willow fans who may already have been shipping her with Angel or Spike. There was also some crossover with Spangel fans. So it's not surprising that some tropes from W/A or W/S fics, can also be found in W/A/S works. This includes Willow is kidnapped and Willow gets turned into a vampire. There were also a number of works where magic or prophecy played a role in getting this unlikely threesome together.

Works in this ship often have Willow as the focal point of the relationship, as without her Angel and Spike couldn't stand one another. In fics, their antagonistic relationship often changed over time, but only as a result of their shared relationship with Willow.

Works where Angel loses his soul, or is already the soulless Angelus, are common. These fics are often darker, with dub-con and violence.
