Wednesday/Lydia , also known as Lydsday, is the crossover pairing of Wednesday Addams and Lydia Deetz from The Addams Family and Beetlejuice fandoms.
Fandom
The pairing has mostly been a fun crackship that embodies the connection Beetlejuice and The Addams Family fandom's have to each other through a shared love of the macabre, the grotesque and gothic daughters.
In fanart and fic Wednesday is typically depicted as a teenager, though she tended to be based on the popular portrayal by Christina Ricci in the 1991 film.
Lydsday saw renewed interest following the 2018 Beetlejuice musical and later with the 2022 release of Netflix's Wednesday, in which Wednesday is portrayed by Jenna Ortega. Ironically this stopped when Ortega was later cast in the Beetlejuice sequel as Lydia's daughter, Astrid Deetz.
