Vitani is a character from the universe of The Lion King who first appeared as a minor antagonist in the sequel Simba's Pride. Fans will occasionally shorten her name to Tani, a nickname used by her brother Nuka in the film. She has a decent sapphic following.
Canon
Fandom
Though her canon eye colour is purple, some fanart will depict her with blue eyes.
Parentage
Though Vitani, and often her brother Kovu, are usually kept as Zira's offspring, usually with a rogue male, they are sometimes headcanoned as being the offspring of a lioness other than Zira that she has killed, or been gifted the cub from. Occasionally they'll be headcanoned as Scar's, though Vitani more so than Kovu, often influenced by whether the fan pairs her up with Kopa.
If she is headcanoned as another lionesses cub, said lioness will often be Tama due to a similiarity in design, as Tama was for some time the only other lioness in the Lion King universe who possessed a head tuft. She'll also sometimes be Nala's daughter, usually with Scar.
Queerness
Out of all of the characters of the fandom, Vitani is the one most consistently headcanoned as queer - often lesbian or bi. Aroace!Vitani will also sometimes feature.
She's often cited as a gay awakening for many fans of the franchise, and many of her fans are queer.
