Simba is the main protagonist of the animated Disney film The Lion King, as well as its stage musical adaptation and the 2019 remake. He also appears in the sequel, the spinoff show The Lion Guard, and many of the other tie-in material. One of Disney's most iconic heroes.
He is the son of Mufasa and Sarabi, the mate to Nala, and the father of Kiara and Kion. Semi-canonically, he's also the father of Kopa.

His overprotectiveness in the sequel is often headcanoned as being due to Kopa having been killed by Zira, and him therefore wanting to prevent Kiara from succumbing to a similiar fate. Otherwise, some fans criticise his behaviour as being OOC when compared to the original.
