Kiara is a character from the universe of The Lion King, and the main protagonist of the sequel Simba's Pride. She's the daughter of Simba and Nala, Kion's sister, and the mate of Kovu.
Canon
She led a sheltered life due to Simba's overprotectiveness. Longing for adventure she runs into a young Kovu, setting in motion the events of Simba's Pride.
In pre-production, several names and looks for the character were considered. Aisha and Shani are two of the former.
Fandom
Her discarded names will often be used as names for OCs, usually for either other children of Simba and Nala, or her children with Kovu.
