Sarabi is a character from The Lion King, and is the mate of Mufasa and the mother of Simba. She appears in the original film, but is absent in the sequel due to her voice actress having died.

Due to her absense in Simba's Pride, some fans headcanon she died sometime between the events of the original and the sequel. Often, her cause of death will be related to the famine during Scar's reign, other times she will be killed by Zira.
