Hi - I'm sari and I'm addicted to escapist fiction. I'm a sucker for a good story, and I'm extra fond of works with pretty images and positive diverse representation (gender, race, religion, etc.)
Fannish History
I discovered deviantart when I first got my own computer, where I learned about the wonderful world of fanart. From there, I was introduced to fanfic and fan communities. It also probably had something to do with the fact that my friends and several family members are nerds.
To Do
- Add info on the fandom reaction to Korrasami becoming canon
- Add resources and info to The Rocky Horror Picture Show
- Add fanart to Brave
- Star discussion about whitewashing in the Avengers Movies?
- Lackadaisy and a lot of other webcomics
- Add scan of the Bechdel test strip to the page (add "Ellen WIllis", "sexy Lamp", "Mako Mori" and Tauriel tests? More info here)
- Miss Officer and Mr. Truffles?
- Make a page for Star Trek Redesigns
- Starfleet Academy really needs a page
- NASA in all its science and nerdly glory just might need it own page
- To backtrack further, Star Trek might need its own science page (maybe even a Science and Fandom page as well)
- Fanartists that need pages: Booter-freak, Rufftoon, Brianna Garcia David Kawena, Slinkers, spacecoyote, viria13, Emmy and Neil Ciceriga, daggomus-prime, medicatedmaniac, kittrose, garama, lettiebobettie, artsyunderstudy andlatitude, thimblings, nasyu (possibly captainshroom, SilentReaper and go-devil-dante; at least, I remember seeing their stuff everywhere celestedoodles? wincestily sweetdari lilyletigre radioactivemongoose)
- Avatar Mom is a bnf, probably deserving of her own page
- Add to alicexz's page to display the more iconic of her works/the stuff she's known for
- Discussion of Starfleet as a military organization
- Figure out if there's an article on the frequently-ignored line between fan-creation and official Star Trek productions (and if not, make one)
- Youtube channels/webseries such as: the Idea Channel (metatextual, media-fandom stuff), Feminist Frequency, OnlyLeigh
- Expand the Adventure Time article; it has a huge and prolific fandom, but I only threw together a bare-bones page
