I fell into the rabbit hole of fandom by way of The X-Files towards the end of 1999 and have never wanted to climb back up. I am what you might call an incorrigible fandom slut, participating in a host of different fandoms as a writer of fan fiction (primarily of the slash variety) and meta, or simply as a reader and supporter of other people's works. Stargate Atlantis and Heroes are the fandoms where I am currently most active; Smallville and House, M.D. have been main playgrounds of mine in the past. I started my fannish life in the days of mailing lists, and moved on to LiveJournal when I discovered Smallville; LJ has been my home on the web and in fandom ever since.
