A twenty something fan who comes up with completely wild crossover AUs - the earliest example of this was when I made drawings of Pokemon/Transformer hybrids in elementary school and showed them off at show and tell. I have not toned down the crossovers since then, and now write about them for everyone on Ao3 and Tumblr to see.
My first true fandom experience was in 2008, when I looked up Erin Hunter online for a middle school essay only to stumble on the official Warrior Cats website, followed not long after by the Official Warrior Cat Forums (RIP) and numerous Freewebs.com based Warriors roleplay sites. (If you remember seeing someone named Spiritclaw on the Official Forums, that was me!) Other platforms I hung out on over the years include the Nuzlocke Forums, the Detective Conan Translation Project Forums, Ao3, FF.net, Tumblr, and Dreamwidth.
