The Valkyrie: Xena & Voyager Subtext was a fansite with a focus on Xena and Voyager f/f and m/m subtext. It had fanfiction, fanart, recommended subtext episodes, episode reviews, subtext pics, a subtext forum and links.

It was a sister site of CPR: The Chakotay/Paris Realm.

About

Welcome to The Valkyrie. This site is a devotion to the television series Xena: Warrior Princess and Star Trek: Voyager, and more specifically, the subtext involved in each show. Why Valkyrie? Well, since both shows have been cancelled, they will become 'slain warriors' in the minds of many of the loyal fans, and the Valkyrie took the fallen to Valhalla in Mythology.

In Xena: Warrior Princess, we follow the love and devotion of two best friends, soul mates, and partners, Xena and Gabrielle. We will have screen captures that capture the love between these two, fan fiction, artwork, a message board so that others can explore their feelings on the subject, and more.

In Star Trek: Voyager, there are more subtle points to be explored. All slash fiction and/or artwork involving any two characters of the same sex in the series is encouraged. Subtext moments on this show are much rarer than on Xena, and you may not find many photos showing subtext from this show. However, if anyone has any fiction or artwork on Harry/Tom, Chakotay/Paris, Seven/Janeway, or any other pairings, please mail them to Kara..

I have been a Xena fan since near the beginning of the show, and a Voyager fan for years, but unfortunately I have not kept each episode on tape, so the screen captures will be slow in coming as I pull them from repeats on the SciFi Channel as well as local affiliate stations. As a result of this, the subtext picture section will take much longer to complete.
