The Thirteenth Floor is a 1999 science fiction film loosely based on the 1964 novel Simulacron-3 by Daniel F. Galouye. It is a microfandom.

The film focuses on Douglas Hall (Craig Bierko) and Jason Whitney (Vincent D'Onofrio), part of a team in 1999 who create a virtual reality simulation of 1937 Los Angeles. A user can enter the virtual world and download into the body of one of its inhabitants, who have their own consciousness and don't realize they are part of a simulation. When the owner of the company is murdered, Hall attempts to unravel clues left for him in the virtual world and clear his own name.

Lonelywalker was the main proponent of the fandom and particularly the slash pairing of Jerry Ashton and Jason Whitney (both portrayed by D'Onofrio) in the mid to late 2000s. They ran a Thirteenth Floor resource site and authored fifty fanfics for the fandom. Since then, a smattering of other fans have written Thirteenth Floor fics or incorporated its themes into fusions.
