Summary

When Jonathan and Benny are sent a highly-coveted invitation to the exclusive Periwinkle Ball, a ball, Benny assures his skeptical partner, that's held by vampires who like to party without fear of reprisal, the two men are drawn into a dark world where vampires are real, danger is everywhere, and leaving the party might just be out of the question. Author's Notes

Of all the things that go 'bump in the night', nothing seems to fascinate mankind more than vampires. Count Dracula and his many cousins. Nosferatu. Saint-Germain. Lestat. Bela Lugosi. Frank Langella. Christopher Lee. Ann Rice. Careers have been made on this subject. So it came as no surprise to anyone that vampires have begun appearing in Shadow Chasers fiction.

In the two stories that make up The Periwinkle Ball, Susan Garrett has served up a portrait of the world of the undead, their diversity and, oddly enough, their 'humanity' along with the continuing adventures of our two favorite shadow chasers, Jonathan MacKensie and Edgar Benedek.

Read. Enjoy. And keep a sprig of garlic handy. You never know what lurks in the night.
