Apparently, emiv looked at Dark Knight Rises and decided that what it needed was some fluff and found family. So this fic consists of Bruce and Selina wandering the world, adopting this world’s versions of the Batman comic’s first three Robins and going sideways around their many, many issues. There are dangers and difficulties Selina has to address, but all that’s at stake is the main characters’ happiness and well-being.Bruce and Selina are both pragmatic, the kind of weird that comes from being very solitary and achingly lonely. Abandoning their roles as criminal and vigilante allows them to have a close relationship without addressing the discrepancies in their morals, background and lifestyles. The narrative does a solid, but subtle job of conveying the way Selina thinks while Bruce’s personality is in the way she sees him speak and act.
The kids come from similar circumstances as in the comics, adjusted for location and lack of legal guardians, which makes for fun comparisons. They are all distinct, adorable and pose unique challenges to raise. They all need parents and this fic makes a strong argument that Bruce and Selina are the right choice.
The Longer You Stay is steadfastly hopeful and positive. I like that.[1]
Oh my god, I didn’t read the tags or apparently, the summary. I had no idea what was coming. Selina, oh my heart, I am never going to read canon verse Robins again without imagining what they could have had. This story is about Selina, and the thing that gets you about it, is that by the end, you’re clutching your phone thinking, yeeeessss, she fucking earned it. [2]
A well-written and emotionally charged Selina Kyle (Catwoman) & Bruce Wayne (Batman) fic following the storyline and events of The Dark Knight Rises. You can find it on Archive of Our Own. It's truly the best Bat/Cat story ever, along with Adaptation by Yours Hopefully on fanfiction.net.[3]

I love it and I must read it once a month when I need something super fluffy to read before I go to sleep and I adore it. So when I think of Bruce and Selina adopting the batkids and being super domestic with them, it’s definitely captured in this fanfic![5]
I remembered earlier today a good fic that’s about Bruce building his family, collecting the three older boys while he travels Europe with Selina, based in the Christopher Nolan movie world. I read it a couple weeks ago and was captivated by it. It’s beautiful.[6]
Absolutely stellar found-family fic in the Nolanverse. The romance is understated, and all of the feels are about family and adopting kids who need a family, and adults who need a family too. It’s wonderful and perfect. Tiny Tim is heartbreakingly adorable.[7]
