The Howl Kingdom was an exclusive Sirius/Remus archive. The earliest wayback capture for the original URL from October 12, 2005 is already an error message. The site had moved to a different URL by 2010.

The main page of the archive contained a mission statement and a declaration regarding objectionable fanon. Mpreg wasn't allowed.

The Purpose of Existence
This is an archive of R/S fanfiction - also (cheekily) known as "The One True Way", "Puppy Love", and "DAMN, that's perfect, why didn't I think of this before?!" We are Remus/Sirius shippers. We are also very exclusive snobs who believe that Remus and Sirius only deserve the best treatment, and therefore have decided to weed out what we consider to be not-so-well-written R/S, and have made up an archive of what we deem to be the best written fan fiction centering on said pairing. This is, so far, not all of it. If anyone has any more recommendations, let us know and we will look and decide on whether or not it is worthy in our eyes. This site is also lovingly dedicated to our Prince, the amazing Arborealis, who resides in the Sugar Quill and presides over this Kingdom with the Tsaroona Zsenya. In his own immortal words: "Hot convict, hot werewolf, hot damn!" We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

The Truths
We here at [The Howl Kingdom] operate on and believe in a few fundamental truths. They stem from extensive study of two very important books - "Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" - and the knowledge that we did, indeed, read them correctly. These truths come down to the following points:1) Remus J. Lupin has never been, is not, and never will be a shy wallflower who swoons every time anyone offers him a second glance and/or deems him worthy of affection. Nor does he cry every time anyone looks at him funny. He is, in fact, one of the strongest and coolest characters in the aforementioned books. The man is a werewolf. He's got stamina, will power, and a sense of humor that many would envy. He can make someone feel like an asshole in under a minute. He has not survived almost a lifetime of isolation crying his eyes out. He is kind yet firm. And he's sexy as hell.
2) Sirius Black has never been, is not, and never will be an evil and stupid bastard whose only plan in life is to destroy the happiness of those he loves simply because he is jealous and/or thickheaded. He may be brash, he may have made some questionable choices in his lifetime, but the majority of them stem from the twelve years he spent locked up in a cell with nothing but a group of soul-sucking fiends for company, stuck inside his own guilt-ridden mind, innocent, and unable to think of a single happy thought. If you come out of that perfectly sane and reasonable, let us know and we will alert the proper authorities at St. Mungo's to a new arrival. Sirius is loyal, loving, smart and as cool as they come.
3) Two men in love has never been, never will be, and is not wrong, unnatural or disgusting. Nor does it undermine the unquestionable friendship that they so obviously share, because we also believe that most romances that last stem originally from friendship. One does not cancel out the other.
4) There will never be any mpreg on this site as long as The Keepers exist. Ever.
