The 100 Rare Pairs Event was a fan challenge to encourage the creation of fanworks for the rare pairings within The 100 fandom. For this event all pairings in the fandom were considered rare except for Bellamy Blake/Clarke Griffin and Clarke Griffin/Lexa, which tend to dominate The 100 fandom. It was an eleven day event with two different pairings featured on each day. Multipile types of fanworks were created, including fanfiction, gif sets, manips, aesthetics and playlists.
