MUNCLE and Unicorns
Does anyone know more about this Man From Uncle "Unicorn Universe" that is mentioned on the Comrades page? From the summaries:"A CLEAR SPRING AS SANCTUARY (Unicorn Universe) by Zach Nitzyekov: "You're a what?" and "RUNNING WILD (Unicorn Universe) by Norman Kent: Poachers decide to capture a mythological creature." I'm assuming one character to be a unicorn, and it would be a cool addition on this page (because who would have thought, unicorn fic in MFU?) but I don't know the fandom or who's the unicorn and so on.--RatCreature 07:12, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
I was going to make a Pegasus page. Then I realized some of these unicorns have wings, making them some sort of "unipegs" or something. Do you think horns trump wings when classifying? Like if it has a horn, or a horn and wings, it's a unicorn, but wings only make it a pegasus? Should probably dig around for some sort of fannish field guide... *wink* --Mrs. Potato Head 18:29, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- I should have gone with my first idea and just made a "Kitschy Horses" page, which while it could be taken as judgemental, it would have been a catch-all at least... LOL.--RatCreature 19:15, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- My Little Implausible Pony? (Actually, I've usually seen "winged unicorn" or hideous, mutant hybrid words coined as a joke.) Franzeska 20:49, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Blake and a unicorn
I think I liked the other representative image better beause on this one I can barely recognize the horse as a unicorn (or as a horse; the position made me think it might be a dog). It's a beautiful picture but to illustrate the idea of 'look, that's a unicorn!' I would like the unicorn more in focus than it's here. --Doro 22:59, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- I picked it because it specifically had "innocence" in the title of the zine, but I am by no means married to the image. Go ahead and switch it back. :-) edited: I'd better make sure the other one is in the gallery. --Mrs. Potato Head 23:20, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Unicorns being cliched or kitschy
I couldn't find any specific fandom examples of this sentiment, but I did find a couple of online discussions about unicorns in general being cliched or kitschy:

- Thank you for adding, I believe that with these links we can improve the introduction of the article -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 16:38, 5 June 2024 (UTC)
